Shared Address Book
The shared address book allows the users in a tenant to share address book entries. Users can search for contacts from either the web interface or from their IP phones. From the address book, contacts can be whitelisted or blacklisted and CMC codes can be added to a contact’s information.
Those users that have the permission to manage shared address book can add, modify and delete address book entries. Administrators can manage the address book through the administrator shared address book page.

The CMC identifies the customer in the CDR report and is used to expedite billing in offices that bill their clients for phone calls, such as law offices and other businesses that track time spent with clients. As long as the CMC has been added to the address book and the caller is calling from the phone number that is associated with that CMC, the CMC will automatically appear in the CDR report. The CMC can also be entered directly into the display of the phone (by pressing the CMC soft key) if the person is calling from a number other than the number that is in the address book. (The dial plan can be configured to prompt the caller to enter the CMC code of the person being called.)
Searching
After loading the page, the system will return the first ten contacts. To refine the search or extend the length of the ssearch result use the search and length field.
CSV Format
The address book can be downloaded in CSV format. When using the search field, the download will contain only contacts that match the search.
In order to bulk import address book entries, the system allows importing CSV files. The sequence in which the columns are are expected is shown in the placeholder text for the content. The content can be pasted into the content field; alternatively the file select dialog can be used to load the content. In addition to CSV, the file import also supports XML format with the PhoneSystem
tag.
When the content field looses focus, the browser will generate a preview for the import of the first few records. This is useful to make sure that the format is correct.
When setting the replace flag, the system will first erase the shared address book before importing the records.
